A community advocate, in Westminster.
Since July 2024, I’ve been working hard in Parliament and across our constituency on your behalf.
Rugby has been my home since 2006.
I am committed to serving the community, whether as a school governor, trustee for Warwickshire Young Carers or more recently as a borough councillor.
My career has taken me through various roles. I started working at McDonald’s during my teenage years. In my 20s, I worked as a hospital porter while also pursuing a passion for music by playing in rock bands. After that, I worked for MPs in Parliament. For the past 18 years, until I decided to run for Parliament, I worked as a consultant at strategic communications companies, both nationally and internationally.
My current roles as an MP.

- In April 2026 I was appointed by the government as the UK’s Trade Envoy to the Republic of Korea (South Korea). More information on gov.uk. This is an unpaid, part-time position that I carry out in addition to my main role as MP, just as ministers, select committee members and others carry out their role in addition to being an MP. I remain based in the UK and will make one or two short visits overseas per year as the role requires.
- I serve on the Speaker’s Conference, a select committee of the House of Commons appointed by the Speaker and tasked with investigating the security of MPs, candidates and elections. Our final report is on parliament.uk.
- I am a member or officer of several All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs). These groups bring together MPs and peers from different parties to focus on a particular subject. The full list of my roles is on parliament.uk.
- In April 2026 I served on the Bill Committee of the Court and Tribunals Bill.
A few things you might not know about me.
- A classically trained violinist and singer/songwriter whose band once supported the bands Muse and Toploader when they played in Gloucester, and had a song on Radio 1.
- Avid runner exploring Rugby’s scenic countryside. I am a member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Running and ran the London Marathon in 2025 to raise money for a local mental health charity.
- Passionate advocate for the creative arts and community engagement, who used to run events called ‘Top of the Policies’.
It’s not the Big I AM, it’s the Big WE Are.
Delivering for Rugby, Bulkington and the Villages.
I’m proud to be working in Parliament to get things done for Rugby, Bulkington and the Villages. NHS waiting lists at our local health trust are falling, household energy bills are coming down, and I’m fighting to make sure our schools, our police and our council get the funding they need.
My approach is Together to the goal. I bring people, organisations, businesses and government together so we can build a stronger, fairer community here.
My political vision
A united country where people and organisations work together without barriers, unlocking everyone’s potential and creating a better future for all.
That’s what Together to the goal stands for: collaboration, shared responsibility and forward momentum. Meaningful progress, whether in community development, education, healthcare or economic growth, happens when people, organisations and government work side by side.
